Remote Access
Use the information below to access HCA Meadows systems from personal devices.

- Dictation on Remote Desktop: Providers have access to mModal Fluency Dictation software on the Virtual Desktop. You must use a mobile microphone – wired microphones do not work.
Provider Applications
Reference materials below outline applications available to Providers for workflows and accessing information.
- mModal Dictation Software – Replaces Dragon as the technology of choice for voice to text dictation.
- ePrescribe – HCA uses the same vendor, DrFirst, for ePrescribe. However, your existing tokens setup under the Legacy Meadows systems will not work. You will need to meet with a PSS to complete setup of your tokens for use on the HCA Meditech systems for electronically prescribing controlled substances.
- Health Information Exchange – Used to access patient records from HCA sites across the organization, including other hospitals, PSG outpatient clinics and more.
- Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) & Deficiency Management – Used to access the HCA legal medical records from within the hospital EHR.
- Completing Medical Records – If you received notice from the facility that you have medical records to complete, you may need to check a few different programs. This link has instructions how to find and complete outstanding records.

- PatientKeeper Charge Capture – PSG Providers only! Use PatientKeeper to post professional charges completed in the hospital setting.
Community Offices
Information below is available for Community Practices on how to request access to HCA Meadows systems for remote patient records retrieval or other needs, such as OR scheduling.
- Request Access for Office Users – Request access for users in your office to access the patient portal for records access and continuity of care purposes.
- Request Access for Providers – Non-credentialed Referring Providers may also request access to the patient portal for records access and continuity of care purposes.
- Scheduling Express – Used to request scheduling of OR cases at Meadows. Users who need access should complete the forms above to request access to the systems in order to get access to Scheduling Express.
